There must be something in the water at Bacchus Marsh.

The St Andrew’s Uniting Church congregation in Bacchus Marsh recently marked some very impressive milestones. Most notably, the 100th birthday celebration of congregation member Eileen Taverner on 18 August.

Ms Taverner is pictured below with the Bacchus Marsh congregation’s many other stalwart luminaries who have been long time members of the congregation.  With a combined age of 740 years, Ms Taverner is certainly not the only long serving parishioner in Bacchus Marsh.

Some have worshipped at the St Andrews church prior to Union, in 1977, when the church was a Presbyterian Church. Others from further afield have previously worshipped in Scotland, Tasmania and neighbouring Essendon prior to joining the Bacchus Marsh congregation.
