Melton Uniting Church recently opened its new church hall, with a procession leading into a service attended by Moderator Isabel Thomas Dobson and more than 250 local parishioners. The new multipurpose church hall, affectionately known as the ‘Red Shed’, has been in the works for a while and will accommodate the growing congregation.
“The new hall is twice as big as the previous one and will host various church meetings, Sunday school, youth groups, and playgroups,” congregation member Tony Fielder said.
“It will certainly get quite a lot of use.
“We have a fairly big congregation. It’s quite intergenerational and diverse and there’s always a lot going on.”
