An exciting artistic collaboration between Cornish College students and indigenous artist Aunty Vicki Thomas has resulted in an eye-catching mural for the school.
More than 600 students rolled up their sleeves this week as part of Cornish College’s Make A Difference Week activities.
Cornish College’s Indigenous Plant Trail has been recognised in the 2016 Victoria Schools Garden Awards. It is in the running for a state award in the Most Engaging Student Garden for Teaching category.
Last month 60 Cornish College students and 11 staff swapped their warm beds for cardboard boxes when they took part in the Winter Sleep Out. The event has already raised $12,000, with more money set to come in.
This week is Anti-Poverty Week 2015, the annual campaign working to encourage and highlight efforts to address poverty in Australia and across the globe.
