Cathy Raleigh (pictured left with former staff member Claire Hetzel) loves volunteering at Kildonan UnitingCare’s community garden. Cathy is one of the thousands of volunteers who contribute to the life of the Uniting Church in congregations, agencies and schools. A report looking at the profile of those who selflessly donate their time will be launched during volunteer week this month.
All of the May stories are available here. Crosslight is also available in digital format.
Other highlights this month include:
- An innovative ministry position aims to serve congregations throughout the Loddon Mallee presbytery.
- The only certainties in life are death and taxes. The Panama Papers reveals those who try to avoid the inevitable.
- Meet the communities coming together and sharing a message through music, dancing and song.
- Moderator Dan Wootton reflects on his time as the pastoral leader of the Church.
- Synod Snaps brings you images from throughout the Church and beyond.
If you are not able to get to a Uniting Church congregation but would like to continue to receive Crosslight each month, we can arrange to deliver it to you, whether you are in Australia or overseas. Subscribe here to receive Crosslight in your letterbox.
