winchelsea uniting church art and photography showWinchelsea Uniting Church Social Committee will be hosting the 16th Winchelsea Uniting Church Art & Photography Show from Friday 30 October to Monday 2 November.

The show will take place at The Globe Theatre on Willis Street, Winchelsea.

The mediums catered for in art are: watercolour, oil and acrylic, pastel, mixed/other mediums, etching and linocut for open and novice.

The photography categories are: open, black/white, open colour, novice black/white, novice colour.

My Winchelsea section: the subject and entrant must reside within 15 kilometres of Winchelsea.

Junior section: this year’s theme for junior entrants is the Melbourne Cup.

The judges for this year’s show are Ade Loe for art and Tim Lucas for photography.

Ade is the owner of Art Rocks Studio Gallery in Inverleigh. With a background in art teaching, Ade has a vast knowledge of artist skills and takes great pleasure in offering her expertise to the public.

Tim from Otway Photography is always looking for a point of difference in his landscape and fine art works. He will often use the darkness of the night, or a combination of light sources (such as candles, torches and the moon) to allow an image to be captured. His intention is always to create a piece of photographic art. Tim has exhibited his photos in previous art &photography shows and this year will be having a display of his work at the Winchelsea Uniting Church Art & Photography Show.

Most of the works in the exhibition will be for sale.

Light refreshments & Devonshire tea will be available throughout the weekend.

The admission cost is $5. Students and exhibitors can enter for free.

Opening times: Friday from 7.30 pm, Saturday and Sunday 10.00 am – 5.00 pm, Monday 10.00 am – 4.00 pm.
