THE QUIET PLACES
Show me the quiet places Lord,
Where I can find your peace.
Take me beyond the noisiness
of life’s relentless beat.
Take me as only you can do
to places in my heart.
Where inner peace and gratitude
draws me into your light.
Take me away from those that live
in muddy lifeless haze.
Their lives devoid of brightness,
Your love beyond their gaze.
Please let me walk with you Lord
through this confusing way,
Your hand to guide and teach me.
In peace preserve my day.
