Pilgrim honours 2022 students

Some of the graduates and Pilgrim Theological College faculty members at yesterday’s Valedictory Service.

Thirty-two students were honoured yesterday when Pilgrim Theological College held its 2022 Valedictory Service.

The service, held at the Centre for Theology and Mission in Parkville and hosted by Head of College Rev Assoc Prof Sean Winter, saw students recognised for their efforts in attaining a range of honours, from Graduate Certificates in Leadership to a Doctor of Philosophy.

Sean said it was wonderful to be able to once again meet in person to recognise the students’ achievements.

During the service, students were called up individually and invited to light a candle or take a wooden cross to mark the occasion.

A Diploma in Theology was awarded to Julie Anne Blake, while Peter Richard Byrne graduated as a Bachelor of Theology.

Graduate Certificates in Leadership were awarded to Trevor John Bassett, Rosemary Joy Carter, Moira Ann Dodsworth, Michael James Easton, Tammy Louise Fitzgerald, Maidie Jane Graham, Justin Tyler Greenway, Nigel Hanscamp, Heather Glen Hon, Tamika Jenna-Anne McLaren, Kylie Megan Sessa, Simon Ward Trebilcock, Frances Leonard Tuppin and Ji Zhang.

Graduate Certificates in Research Methodology were awarded to Jessinta Suat Lin Tan, Elizabeth Mary Lee and Andrea Clare Grant, while Graduate Certificates in Children and Families Ministry were awarded to Akoi Koul Atem and Maree Robyn Southall.

Graduate Diplomas in Theology were awarded to Nicole Elizabeth Gyomber, Karen Ann Morgan and Nicole Robyn Mugford, while Daniel John Slater received a Master of Theological Studies.

Masters in Theology were awarded to Daniel Richard Farnsworth, Sthira Budhi Purwosuwito and Christopher John Waddell, while Catherine Dawn Lambert was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy.

Exit candidates were Christopher Andrew Booth (Graduate Diploma in in Divinity), Reuben James Edmonds (Bachelor of Theology) and Catherine Ruth James (Master of Theological Studies).
