In the most difficult of circumstances, a sense of community can inspire hope and a feeling of normality.
In Yarmouk, at the Palestinian refugee camp threatened by the Islamic State, Ayam al-Ahmad continues to sing and play piano. His friend Abo Gabi, who fled Yarmouk in 2013 has produced a short film called Blue which features men gathering to sing political compositions with Ahmad. Abo Gabi is also involved with the Palestinian Assembly of Creativity which helps young people in the camp explore their creativity.
