Staff from the 130 Little Collins Street office, and one ring-in from Uniting AgeWell, recently joined more than 12,000 participants on a drizzly Melbourne morning to take part in the annual CITY2SEA fun run.
The team, calling themselves 130 Little Collins Feet, included Ann Byrne, Amy Cullinan and her partner Andrew, Laura Cregan, Jenni Ferris and her partner Ben, Steve Neal and Hank van Apeldoorn.
Some members completed the 5km distance and others braved the 15km distance while collectively raising a total of $716.56 for Médecins Sans Frontières Australia.
The team started lunchtime walks in the lead up to the event and plans are underway to continue the walking group.
Ms Byrne said an added bonus of getting involved with the CITY2SEA event is that it became a goal for the regular lunchtime walking group.
“It was inspiring to participate in the event as part of the team and to raise the funds,” Ms Byrne said
“It’s also great to go for walks with others who work in the building.”
