Steve Biddulph (pictured) – world-renowned family psychologist and the best-selling author of Secrets of Happy Children, Raising Boys, The New Manhood and now Raising Girls – will be a guest speaker at two events to be held by Frankston Uniting Church this month.
Mr Biddulph, now living in Launceston, is a member of the Uniting Church. He grew up attending Frankston UC where his mother, Joan, still worships.
Marg Scarlett is the president of the Ladies Evening Group at Frankston. She said Mr Biddulph spoke at High Street UC last year and packed the church with 250 people each night.
“With Steve having presented to hundreds of thousands of parents around the world, we are excited that he is returning to Frankston in May to share his wisdom,” Ms Scarlett said.
“Parenting has challenges and rewards, and who better than Steve to tackle the important concerns of parents today with Secrets of Happy Children on Monday 26 May and Raising Girls on Tuesday 27 May.”
The events are part of the congregation’s outreach to youth, children and families through programs in the church, local community and further afield.
Proceeds from the events will support Kids Hope in local schools, the Rock Solid school holiday program, as well as programs for children and women in Timor Leste, and missionary Tom Sutherland’s work with people living in poverty in India.
