2cohunaCohuna Uniting Church member Hazel Radley was recently awarded the Cohuna Lions Club Citizen of the Year Award. Well known in the region for her tireless community support work, Ms Hadley (pictured) is involved in a number of community and church outreach programs.

A passionate musician, Ms Radley has long served her community with music lessons, performances and organising local music groups.

“Hazel is the complete and utter driving force in our church,” Cohuna Uniting Church member Glenn Hall said.

“Through the University of the Third Age, Hazel organises many music groups. They’ve been really successful at getting people involved and thoroughly enjoying it.

“Hazel’s sheer love of music really comes through in her community work.

“She leads services at the retirement village, takes music and plays piano and really gets people involved,” Mr Hall said.

Ms Radley is also the convenor of her church’s lay ministry team and has served as the church organist for many years.
