UNITINGCARE Pancake Day welcomes Poh Ling Yeow (Poh’s Kitchen) as one of the new ambassadors for 2014. Now in its 12th year, Pancake Day has raised more than $1.6 million dollars for vital UnitingCare services.
Throughout the 12 years more than 35,000 volunteers have cooked and flipped millions of pancakes for the annual event. In 2014 all funds raised are contributing to homelessness programs and services run by UnitingCare. On any given night in Australia 1 in 200 people are homeless and UnitingCare wants to make a difference. Readers are invited to join the Pancake Day launch at Federation Square on Sunday 2 March between 10am-4pm.
