Out of the shadows: images and voices of Sri Lankan war trauma

Australian Catholic University gallery. This is a fundraising exhibition supporting a centre for holistic healing. “These images show the legacy of a war where safe zones were routinely targeted, where bloody battles took place right in the midst of homes and lives, and where the civilian sacrifice was significant. Strathdon Community’s 11th annual Art Exhibition

World Federation of Methodist and Uniting Church Women South Pacific area seminar

Tuesday 8 to Saturday 12 July 2014
Emmanuel College, University of Queensland, St Lucia, Brisbane. Theme: “A Challenge to Live with Risk, Compassion and Celebration”.
Join women from six South Pacific nations at this event, which features bible study leader Reverend Dr Elizabeth Nolan with guest speakers Reverend Amel Manyon (Dinka Faith Community, South Australia) and Rosemary Young (Frontier Services).
