Lentara UnitingCare has been awarded the 2013 Compassionate Employer Recognition Award from Compassionate Friends Victoria.
This special achievement is awarded to a small group of not-for-profit and corporate organisations who demonstrate compassion for staff following the passing of a loved one. During the ceremony, representatives of the nominees told heart-felt stories of their nominee’s loss and how their organisation supported them through this period.
After the passing of her mother, Joy Nunn nominated Lentara UnitingCare for the compassion and support shown by the board and her colleagues during this difficult time.
Lentara UnitingCare’s board chair, Mark Heintz collected the award on behalf of Lentara UnitingCare at a special event at Leonda by the Yarra on 12 March, 2013 joined by Joy Nunn, Lentara UnitingCare’s CEO along with her father Bruce Nunn (pictured above).
